Coffee, Frappe, Frappuccino, Latte, Cappuccino, Macchiato or Espresso? What's the Difference?

If you're a coffee lover like me, you know there are so many different types of coffee out there. It can be overwhelming trying to figure out the differences between them all. In this blog post, I'm going to break down the differences between a few popular types of coffee: the coffee, Frappe, Frappuccino, Latte, Cappuccino, Macchiato, and Espresso.

First, let's start with the basics. A regular coffee is simply a brewed cup of coffee made with ground coffee beans and hot water. It's typically served black or with cream and sugar.

A Frappe, on the other hand, is a type of iced coffee. It's made with cold water, ice, and ground coffee beans, and it's usually served with milk and sweeteners. A Frappuccino is similar to a Frappe, but it's made with more milk and usually has whipped cream on top.

Next, there's the Latte. A Latte is made with espresso and steamed milk, and it's usually served with a small amount of foam on top. It's a bit sweeter and creamier than a regular coffee.

A Cappuccino is similar to a Latte, but it's made with more foam and less steamed milk. It has a stronger coffee flavour and a thicker, frothier texture.

A Macchiato, on the other hand, is made with espresso and a small amount of foam on top. It's a bit stronger and more bitter than a Latte or Cappuccino.

Finally, there's the Espresso. It's made with finely ground coffee beans and hot water, and it's served in a small cup. It has a strong, concentrated flavor and is the base for many other types of coffee drinks.

So there you have it! Those are the main differences between a coffee, Frappe, Frappuccino, Latte, Cappuccino, Macchiato, and Espresso. Next time you're at your favourite coffee shop, you'll know exactly what to order. Happy sipping!
